We are currently seeking an experienced IT/ Lead Infrastructure Engineer to lead the Service Team in a technical experience capacity and ensure that all client and internal IT infrastructure, systems and data is proactively managed, maintained and secured.

The role will involve you providing escalated technical support to the service desk and NOC teams, troubleshooting and problem resolution for escalated requests and findings. You’ll therefore provide telephone, email and remote support to Wyntec Clients, ensuring all issues are logged, responded to and resolved within agreed timeframes

Responsibilities

Other Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

  • Clearly and concisely transfer technical and business knowledge to colleagues and customers
  • Ensure tickets are being completed against KPI’s and provide assistance to team members
  • Ensure Critical System Events that are raised are then managed and rectified
  • Ensure all security and access management standards, policies, and processes; and that physical, system and data security for the computing environments is maintained
  • Provide technical expertise as part of a project team working with other project management, infrastructure, and applications resources

Skills and experience

For this position you need to have demonstrated skills and experience in the following:

 

  • Ability to be hands-on as well as lead a team
  • Experience with System and Network monitoring systems
  • Understanding of SQL Server administration
  • Good technical documentation skills including network and system architecture diagrams
  • Demonstrated experience in preparing, implementing, and reviewing change requests as needed for Client environments
  • Demonstrated experience in assisting with the security reviews, changes and updates needed for clients.
  • Demonstrated experience is scoping project tasks and designing network and server architecture
  • Ability to resolve client technical support issues within defined SLAs
  • Ability to assist support teams to provide operational support of client systems

Experience

Infrastructure design and implementation (on prem & cloud) – VMware, Hyper-V, Cisco LAN/WAN networking, SAN’s, MSSQL DB

  • MS Azure technologies
  • MS Office365 technologies
  • License & cost management
  • Voice / telephony
  • Security / DR / Backup’s.
