Infrastructure and Service Team Leader

We are currently seeking an experienced IT/Infrastructure and Service Team Leader to lead the service desk and NOC teams, as well as be hands-on in Infrastructure, System, Network and Cloud to drive new and existing projects with our clients.

We are experiencing growth, and this newly-created role within the business is to support this expansion.

You’ll have the opportunity to lead and manage high-performing service desk and infrastructure teams that are geographically dispersed, and are passionate about IT.


As Infrastructure and Service Team Leader, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Lead the Service Desk and NOC teams
  • Incident and problem management
  • Plan and review proposed changes to ensure successful implementation
  • Act as an escalation point for unresolved or incomplete requests
  • Pre-sales / Design infrastructure & Projects
  • Manage client and wyntec environments (software and hardware)
  • Ensure system performance and uptime is aligned with the client’s requirements and expectations
  • Vendor management
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and service delivery within the team
  • After hours on call/Some afterhours and weekend work is required
  • Internal and client reporting

Skills and experience

For this position you need to have demonstrated skills and experience in the following:

  • Ability to be hands-on as well as lead a team
  • Experience with System and Network monitoring systems
  • Service management experience
  • Good technical documentation skills including network and system architecture diagrams
  • Experience leading and managing geographically dispersed service desk and infrastructure teams

Technical skills

Technical skills, and hands on experience in:

  • Infrastructure design and implementation (on prem & cloud) – VMware, Hyper-V, LAN/WAN networking, SAN’s, MSSQL DB, Sharepoint
  • MS Office365 technologies
  • MS Azure technologies
  • License & cost management
  • Voice / telephony
  • Security / DR / Backup’s.
